Grant was an instructor with the Kamon Martial Art Federation in the UK from 2002 until he moved to Australia with his family in 2012. In Australia, Grant qualified as a Personal Trainer and operated successfully in Perth, WA and then Caloundra, QLD before returning to the UK in 2016.


As well as working as a PT, Grant was a founder member of the Combined Strength Group,which was formed by Andy McKenzie in 2015, for the continued professional development of trainers, strength coaches and fitness professionals. After working closely with Andy upon his return to the UK, Grant was made Head Coach of the Group in 2017.


As well as delivering seminars on The Combined Strength Training System, Bodyweight & Core Training, and Fundamental Barbell Techniques to fitness professionals across the UK, Grant presented a Shoulder Health Workshop at the Scottish Fitness Expo 2017, and assisted Andy to deliver a Training Day for the British Army at the Regional Rehabilitation Unit in Aldershot in 2018.


Drawing from his experience with movement through , and combining this with a love of strength training and calisthenics, Grant has developed a training style that develops strength and mobility through daily movement practices. He is passionate about movement, health and nutrition and believes everyone stands to benefit from strength training.

There are few better feelings than helping someone who has suffered with long term discomfort move freely and without pain."


Grant holds a Certficate IV in fitness, is an Accredited Rehab Trainer, is a British Weightlifting Level 2 Coach and a Level 1 Precision Nutrition Coach.
